     The field is sacred ground and should be
treated with respect at all times. (I can’t help but refer you to that
incident between A-Rod and Dallas Braden in Oakland over the pitcher’s
mound earlier this year.) With this comparison, it’s not difficult to
see the ways of the soldier, the samurai and slugger in the same light. 

      When you look at any form of art,
be it playing a musical instrument, painting or martial arts, they all
require the same basic elements of focus.
